We flew with Virgin Atlantic to Barbados, enjoying a smooth 8-hour journey before a brief one-hour stop for a crew change. From there, it was just a quick 20-minute hop over to the breathtaking island of Saint Vincent. Upon arrival, the transfer to Sandals was a breeze — only 40 minutes from airport to the resort.
We arrived just after 2pm to a picture lush rainforest on one side, turquoise Caribbean on the other, and every luxury you can imagine tucked in between.

Rooms So Fancy, I Briefly Considered Moving In!
Sandals Saint Vincent takes luxury to a new level. I had the pleasure of staying in the Bamboo Palm View Room with Balcony Tranquility Soaking Tub, which, while being the lead-in room category at Sandals St. Vincent, truly felt amazing.
From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the blend of modern luxury and natural Caribbean charm. The room was bright, airy, and thoughtfully designed, with a serene view of lush bamboo groves swaying gently in the breeze — a perfect nod to the island’s natural beauty.
What really set it apart was the private balcony with a Tranquility Soaking Tub. After a day of site inspections and exploring the property, sinking into that deep, freestanding tub under the open sky was pure bliss. Whether it was early morning coffee with the sound of tropical birds or a quiet soak under the stars, this space offered a peaceful retreat. It’s hard to believe this is considered an entry-level room, because the quality, comfort, and ambiance felt far more elevated. It’s a testament to Sandals’ commitment to luxury at every level.

- Swim-Up Suites – Roll out of bed and into the pool. No shoes needed, ever.

Food Worth Travelling For
With 11 dining concepts, Sandals Saint Vincent isn’t just about beaches—it’s a full-blown foodie’s dream. Every meal is included (yes, even the sushi and steak)
Faves from my stay:
- Buccan – Caribbean flavours with a farm to table concept – some of the best food here!
- Gatsu Gatsu – Sushi lovers, this one’s for you. Fresh, creative, and seriously good.
- Scrimshaw – Upscale seafood with a view. Tip: go at sunset
- Oh, and the cocktails? Let’s just say I “researched” them thoroughly for you.
Excursion Highlight: Snorkelling the Tobago Cays
This was the wow moment of the trip. I always recommend at least one off-resort adventure, and the Tobago Cays snorkelling excursion is a must.
Crystal-clear water, coral reefs teeming with marine life, and sea turtles just cruising by like underwater celebrities. Whether you’re an avid snorkeller or a total beginner, it’s an experience you’ll never forget.
The team running the excursion were top-notch—safe, fun, and full of interesting local knowledge. An absolute highlight.
