Penang/tune Hotel Then Sydney
Grateful thanks to Kerry for taking endless trouble arranging my flights! I have returned from visiting Sydney, Australia, to attend my Grandson’s Graduation Ceremony at University of Technology Sydney (UTS), (and staying with my Son), I can say that the travel arrangements made by Kerry worked out very well, no delays or lateness. I made a side trip to Penang on the way out, two nights in a hotel (Tune Hotel, Georgetown, Penang). The hotel was ok, bed only, so I had to search for meals outside in the 32 degrees C heat. Owing to not being able to check in online, due to a fault on Malaysian Airlines website, I had to check in at Heathrow, and got a seat in row 43 (very noisy from the jets!), so my lesson has been learnt – to check in on line at the earliest moment possible, and select a seat near the front ahead of the engines. I would highly recommend Global at Clevedon, and will use them for my next trip abroad.
Nile Cruise, Steinberger Legacy
We can thoroughly recommend this trip along the Nile from Luxor to Aswan. The Steinberger Legacy was luxurious with fabulous food and attentive staff who anticipated our every need without being overbearing. The evening entertainment added an amusing element to the experience. We were particularly impressed by the whirling dervish who amazed us all with his frenetic dancing. The trips were all well organised with a very knowledgeable guide who was extremely helpful as well as easygoing and witty. Charlotte provided a friendly and efficient service and all aspects of the organisation from start to finish were exemplary. March 2018
Hotel Cheyenne, Disneyland Paris
My wife and I are no strangers to Disneyland Paris, in fact this was our 6th trip that we’ve booked through Global Independent Travel Centre but our first time staying in this on-site hotel. Arriving mid-afternoon on the Eurostar, the Hotel Cheyenne is a short 20 minute walk or a 5 minute free shuttle-bus ride away from Marne-la-Vallee station which we usually opt to walk as long as the weather is good. We were pleasantly surprised to find no queue and after a pleasant experience with the Cast Member that checked us in we had soon settled into our newly refurbished Texas room. These new rooms are adorned with a Toy Story theme, a large flat-screen TV, an in-room safe and plenty of room for suitcases. We didn’t have the opportunity to try out the hotel restaurant as it was closed as part of the renovations that have been taking place across the resort but we were surprised to see the hotel has a recently opened Starbucks which doesn’t detract from the theming and was a good place to stop for a break away from the crowds when we weren’t heading into the parks. Having stayed at most of the Disneyland Paris on-site hotels (just Disneyland Hotel and Newport Bay Club to go!) we had a great experience in what is considered one of Disney’s more reasonably priced hotels and would happily stay there again in the future.
