Having arranged many 'Hen' Weekends, it was time for my own 'Hen weekend experience'. I was 'escorted' to the amazing resort of Marbella and what an experience I was to have. Only a 2 hour flight from Bristol which was quick and easy. It is the perfect spot and great for hen and stag weekends.
When we arrived in Malaga airport we got on our minibus transfer which we had pre-booked, and made our way to the apartments which was approximately 45 minutes away.
We stayed at the 'Vasari Resort' which was ideal as they were really spacious apartments. There were 13 of us and we were spread across 5 apartments which were all on the same floor so we could walk across to each others rooms and have a few drinks and play ‘hen’ games together. It was within walking distance to the centre…. although being a group of girls and high heels it was easier to get a few taxis for €6.
After we had unpacked and had a drink at the pool bar we made our way into Puerto Banus harbour where we sat outside with a refreshing drink looking at all of the yachts and flash cars! Of course we also spent some time looking around the shops. 'Every girls dream walking around all the designer boutiques such as Gucci, Chloe, Louis Vuitton and Agent provocateur'.
The first evening (Friday) we went to a restaurant on Puerto Banus harbour which was lovely, a 3 course meal was only €16 a head! We then went to 'Linekers Bar' which the chief bridesmaid had pre-booked free of charge before arrival. This place was my favourite, we had an amazing time here… when we arrived we had someone to meet and greet us, bubbly on arrival, we had a roped off VIP area with a personalised banner with my name on and a dedicated male waiter who made sure we were topped up with drinks all night! There was a few other hen and stag do’s here and lots in Marbella.
On the Saturday we spent the day at 'Ocean Club' which was amazing as we hired a massive sun bed and chilled out drinking cocktails by the pool and listening to some great music with some live drums. The atmosphere here is amazing!
On the Saturday evening we got pizza’s delivered to the apartments where we had a few drinks and fun games were played. We then headed out to the centre again and visited a few bars.
On the Sunday morning before getting the minibus back to the airport, we chilled out at the apartment’s pool to catch the last few rays of sun. I would highly recommend Marbella for a hen weekend. It was amazing and an unforgettable experience… and I think they will allow me back as I was well behaved!!!!
